Zerobuild Docs

Quickstart

Set up a workspace, bring your team and your customer conversations into one place, and publish your first doc — in about ten minutes, nothing to install.

Create your workspace

  1. Sign up and name the workspaceOne workspace per company. Everyone joins the same substrate — team chat, customer conversations, and docs land in one database from day one.
  2. Invite your teamOpen Settings → Members and send invites by email. If your company uses a shared email domain, teammates who sign up with that domain can find and join your workspace without an invite link.
  3. Set up your channelsYou start with a general channel. Add one per team or per topic — flat channels, no threads to manage. Direct messages work the same way for one-to-one and small-group conversations.

Put live chat on your site

Open Live chat → Widget settings and copy your embed snippet. It looks like this, with your workspace's own IDs filled in:

html
<script src="https://app.zerobuild.ai/widget/widget.js"
  data-workspace-id="your-workspace-id"
  data-server-url="https://app.zerobuild.ai"></script>

Paste it before the closing </body> tag on your site. Customer conversations land in your Live chat inbox, where anyone on the team can pick them up, assign them, and answer — the thread lives here, not in a separate tool.

The widget's colors, greeting, and pre-chat form are all configurable from Widget settings — no code changes needed after the first paste.

Write your first doc

Open the Library and write down one thing your team explains repeatedly — a delivery policy, an onboarding checklist, a pricing rule. Docs support headings, lists, tables, code blocks, and images, with version history and comments built in.

When it's right, mark it verified so your team knows it can be trusted — and when you're ready, publish a whole folder as a branded help center your customers can read.

Where to go next

  • Team chat — channels, DMs, reactions, and files
  • Live chat — the inbox, assignment, tags, and canned responses
  • Publish a help center — from internal folder to public docs site
  • MCP — connect Claude or another agent to your workspace
